TESTAMONIALS

"I was extremely fortunate to have Brian pace me during the 2011 Burning River 100 Mile Endurance Race. This was my very first attempt at any race over 50 miles and my very first experience running trails at night. Brian's assistance proved invaluable and enabled me to achieve my goal of completing a 100 mile trail race. Brian's coaching got me through the toughest latter stages of the race when my mind and body were ready to give up. His great personality and conversation kept my mind off the negatives. And, his encouragement and running/racing tips seemed always to be offered at the perfect times during the race and returned my focus to my goal of finishing. With the assistance of Brian's outstanding pacing efforts, I was able to complete the race with a faster time than I had expected. If you're looking for a coach to help you achieve your endurance running goals and/or a pacer who will get you to the finish line, I highly recommend Brian Musick.

"I was driving home doing my mental checklist from a weekend long training run on the Mohican 100 course. This last minute decision to drive 5 hours to Loudonville, Ohio would be one of the smartest decisions I made for this race. The second smartest decision I made was selecting Brian as my pacer. I had never personally met Brian prior to the Mohican 100, but I had heard of him through the ultra community and of course friended him on Facebook. When I requested him to pace me he was just getting ready to run the Laurel Highlands 77 miler. He couldn't give me a definite answer til the following week of recovery. Three days later, he said yes. He would meet me at Mohican to help bring me home. I picked Brian because of his knowledge of ultras and from talking with him on the phone his personality seemed to be the perfect fit. He helped me find ways to dig deep on the last loop and run when I thought it was impossible. Sometimes it would just be the basic reminders of late stage ultra running to the little things that have worked for him. His running knowledge from his high school days, college and ultras has made him into a well groomed coach. The bottom line is Brian helped me finish what was definitely the toughest race I ever attempted and I really don't know if I could have succeeded without his help and encouragement. Thanks again buddy!"

"I was training for the Oil Creek 50K (my first ultra) this past summer. I had been a road runner for 8 years but had never run trails. I did a few training runs up at OC but didn't really know much about trail running. I've known Brian for years and when I saw that he was offering coaching services I signed up. He took me on runs and helped me with technique. He offered tips on what to carry with me and things like that. He helped give me the confidence I needed to complete the race, which I did. Brian helped me become an ultra marathoner.
